Georgian grade 2 listed stone built cottage in the historic centre of Pulborough overlooking the medieval church. It retains its old character but has modern amenities and comfort with plenty of space to accommodate up to six guests.

The owners live next door and fully restored the property.

The large conservatory overlooks the pretty cottage garden fully stocked with plants with a secluded sitting area.

The house is quiet despite being close to the A29 road and is 5 minutes walk from the station and Tesco with easily accessible footpaths.

You will find a supply of eggs, milk and butter in the fridge when you arrive.










It is peaceful and cosy with a log burning stove in the sitting room to cheer up winter nights. The picture below is of the church in 2010.


 

A WEALTH OF LOCAL ACTIVITIES

The area is replete with attractions including country houses, Petworth House, Arundel Castle, Elizabethan Parham House, within 20 minutes.

Pulborough is on the river Arun, which forms the northern border of the South Downs National Park, with excellent walks and kayaking.

Goodwood House is close by with its racing, Festival of Speed and Goodwood revival car events. The historic city of Chichester is 30 minutes away with its cathedral, museums and the Chichester Festival theatre.

Petworth is five miles away with its historic centre, antique shops and boutique restaurants.

There are golf courses at Midhurst and Goodwood.

The RSPB reserve is three miles away and the Wetlands Trust is at Arundel.

For garden lovers, there is a garden at Parham house and an excellent National Trust garden at Woolbeding near Mjdhurst. Arundel Castle has a fine Bannerman designed garden and hosts a magnificent seasonal tulip festival.

Beaches on the South coast can reached within half an hour.
